Here in Atlanta, from time to time I volunteer to shoot for Atlanta Beagle Rescue. They are always so kind when I email them about stopping by during one of their SUPER fun events!
In Los Angeles, I had the great pleasure of volunteering with Labs and Friends and Beagle Freedom Project (see below). They helped me in more ways than just practicing photography. They showed me unconditional love for the animals they rescue. They gave me a friendship when they knew not one thing about me. They trusted me with the important job of capturing the heart and soul of these puppies so they could one day find the best home.
I am also thrilled and proud to be an Artist Member ofHeARTs Speak. This non-profit organization and it's members/artists dedicate their time photographing animals at local shelters and rescues. A great photograph can make all the difference in getting an animal adopted.
My Personal Project
Beagle Freedom Project and ARME have been an incredible addition to my life. Not only as a photographer but as a human being. The work these people do and the torturous things they see and hear about every day is something most of us wouldn't be able to comprehend even in our darkest moments.
Now that we have moved to Atlanta, I miss these people very much. But, I know their hard work will never stop and I will always be available to them if they need me.
