While living in Los Angeles, I started as strictly a pet photographer. Honestly, humans can sometimes be difficult. Dog and cat (and bird and raccoon, etc.) parents aren't overly concerned about how their animals look. They don't worry about their weight or hair or makeup. Their managers or agents don't complain that they had the wrong "look" for the roles they were sending them out on. No one yells (well, really yells) at them if one of them just decides he would rather roll in the mud or swim in the pool instead of posing in a dress or a stuffy suit.
